Big Idea of the Chapter

Make math meaningful and relevant for students with the Big Idea of the Chapter. This at-home activity helps students focus on the big picture mathematics and how it can apply to their daily lives. Additionally, there are short videos featuring one of our authors, Nick Lopez or Dr. India White, talking informally to students and their families about the Big Idea of each chapter.

Instructional Support

Practice pages in Grades K-5 include QR codes that link to lesson pages, so families have insight into how the content was taught in class. Starting in Grade 3, students and families have access to tutorial videos to support practice and homework exercises.

Family Resources

Family Letters and the Multi-Language Glossary are available in 16 languages, including Spanish, providing families with the information and tools they need to help their students succeed. Each chapter has a letter describing how families can use everyday tasks and activities to reinforce the math concepts that their student is learning. 

The Game Library contains English and Spanish interactive games with audio, making math fun! There are several games and activities that are not only enjoyable but also reinforce the math skills a student is learning.

Easy Access Student Edition

Families have access to everything that their student does at myadamath.com. Family members may use any of the resources to help their student with homework or to prepare for tests and quizzes.

QR Code Support

Students can scan QR codes at point of use in the Student Edition, which take them directly to the online Student Experience. There they will find their lesson content, practice, and videos for support! All they need to do is login using their myadamath.com credentials.

CalcChat® and CalcView®

With CalcChat®, students benefit from worked-out solution videos and live, virtual tutor support for select exercises. Chapter Review, Practice Tests, and Career and College readiness strategies are also available. Find the blue arrows (grades 6-8) or teal boxes (grades 9-12) in the Student Edition which indicate support is available! With CalcView®, students can view instructor videos as they work through select problems to support comprehension and the understanding of concepts.
